Celebrating 16 years at CCL Design, Martin Brennan’s journey has spanned an international move and a successful shift in career direction. Now serving as Global Account Director, he sits at the heart of our business, combining deep expertise in materials science with extensive business development experience. Martin brings both the insight and experience needed to work collaboratively with our customers and technical colleagues, shaping his own career while driving CCL Design forward.
After graduating from Strathclyde University with a degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry, Martin joined CCL Design (then Worldmark) as a Research and Development Chemist in East Kilbride, where he worked in the Brand Protection team, supporting our largest customers.
Making the most of the global opportunities in CCL Design, Martin spent time in Taiwan assisting in the opening of our Taipei Design Centre and travelled to the USA to work at our Libertyville Design Centre in Chicago. Eager to develop, he wasn’t afraid to ask questions and learn about other areas of the business.
Personal circumstances took Martin to Chicago in 2014. As a Technical Sales Representative, Martin was able to use his technical background to ensure customers had a thorough understanding of capabilities and provide product development support. From here Martin diversified his customer base, and now manages some of CCL Design’s largest accounts but at the core of his work, he is always aiming to solve problems.
Truly great product design isn’t just about impressing customers; it solves a problem and Martin shines in providing that support to our customers, with a deep understanding of product development, manufacturing and CCL Design capabilities. The variety of projects and people he has met along the way has been the highlight of his career- CCL Design truly provides a unique opportunity to do it all!
