Back in 2015, CUPRA envisioned illuminated treadplates for the facelift of the CUPRA Leon MY2017 with the specification requiring a maximum treadplate thickness of 3.2 mm, which posed a significant challenge when including illumination.
CCL Design’s Solingen engineering team accepted the challenge and developed a smart technical solution that met the strict thickness requirement without compromising functionality or aesthetics. This impactful breakthrough allowed our customer’s design vision to become reality.
